Col Rakesh Mishra is a 1992 batch permanent commissioned officer and has rendered 28 years of distinguished and meritorious service to the nation before he took premature retirement in Oct 2020.
He has worked at strategic level in the Armed Forces with an excellent career record of 28 years, spanning the full range of leadership, strategic planning and execution, team development, etc. He has commanded and led cross-functional teams of engineers to new levels of success in a highly competitive, challenging, and fast paced environment. Adept at problem solving, crisis management, negotiation and consensus building he has a strong experience in risk assessment, financial planning, performance analysis, quality management and lead engineering teams for higher efficiency and performance. He has tenanted instructional tenures in prestigious training institutions and served as Military Observer in multinational environment in the United Nations.
A DIPR qualified officer, Col Rakesh is extremely competent in interviewing skills and has conducted numerous recruitment rallies in his career.
A keen fitness enthusiast, Col Mishra is a cyclist par excellence, a regular gym-goer, runner, and a keen sportsman. He has represented the Services in cricket and the Army in intra competitive level in football. He has the coveted honour of being the Officer-in-Charge of the Republic Day Parade contingent of the Madras Sappers in 2003, which won the trophy.
