STEPS TO APPLY ONLINE FOR SSC 2024

The procedure for filling online application for the examination consist of two parts:

Types of SSC Courses

Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level

Each year, around 30 to 40 lakh candidates apply for the SSC CGL exam, with approximately 15 to 20 lakh actually participating. Successful candidates are given the chance to work in various ministries and government departments throughout India.

Nationality:

  • Must be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan.
  • A Tibetan refugee settled in India before 1st Jan 1962.
  • An Indian by origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of staying permanently in India.

Educational Qualification:
As per the official SSC CGL Notification, candidates should have a graduate degree. Candidates in the final year of their graduation can also apply. However, qualification varies from post to post.

Age Limit:

  • A candidate must meet the SSC CGL exam age limit criteria to appear for the exam
  • minimum 18 yrs, maximum 31yrs.

Physical Fitness Standard:

Candidates applying for SSC CGL for the post of Inspector/ Sub-Inspector or CBN must meet the standards of physical fitness as prescribed in the official SSC CGL notification.

 

Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Level

Exam is an examination conducted annually by the Staff Selection Commission for recruitment to various posts in different government departments. These include roles such as Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Data Entry Operator (DEO), Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants (PA/SA), and Junior Secretariat Assistants (JSA).

Exam is divided into following stages:

  • Tier I – Objective Multiple Choice Paper
  • Tier-II – Descriptive Paper
  • Tier III – Skill Test / Computer Proficiency Test applicable to a few select posts
  • Eligibility: Candidates must go through the following eligibility criteria.

Nationality:

  • Must be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan.
  • A Tibetan refugee settled in India before 1st Jan 1962.
  • An Indian by origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of staying permanently in India.
  • Educational QualificationThe minimum educational requirement to sit for the SSC CHSL exam is a passing certificate from the 12th standard or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.

Age Limit: The SSC CHSL age limit for the posts has been set at a minimum 18 years and a maximum of 27 years.

Physical Disability:  Concessions are made for the candidates who are physically disabled, so they are still eligible to write the SSC CHSL Exam. The relaxations vary from post to post.

Staff Selection Commission- Multi-Tasking Staff

The SSC MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff) exam, conducted by the Staff Selection Commission, aims to recruit candidates for various non-ministerial and Group C roles in government departments and offices across India. This exam is designed for individuals who have completed their 10th grade or hold an equivalent qualification.

Exam is divided into following stages:

  • Tier I – Objective Multiple Choice Paper
  • Tier-II – Descriptive Paper
  • Eligibility: Candidates must go through the following eligibility criteria.

Nationality:

  • Must be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan.
  • A Tibetan refugee settled in India before 1st Jan 1962.
  • An Indian by origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of staying permanently in India.

Educational Qualification:  The minimum educational requirement to sit for the SSC CHSL exam is a passing certificate from the 12th standard or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.

Age Limit: Candidates applying for MTS roles in the Central Board of Narcotics (CBN) under the Department of Revenue should be between 18 and 25 years old. For Havaldar positions, the age range is extended to 18 to 27 years.

Staff Selection Commission Central Police Organisation Exam is held annually to recruit candidates for the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police and Sub Inspector in CAPFs.

The exam is divided into following stages:

  • Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (Tier 1)
  • Stage 2: Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test
